Unmask policy

MIRA exists so you can write without exposing your real email address. Here's exactly when — if ever — that changes.

1. 1.

   We never voluntarily unmask you.

   We don't reveal a sender's real identity or forwarding email — not to the recipient, not to anyone else, not even to the other person in the conversation.

2. 2.

   There are exactly two exceptions.

   Valid legal process (a subpoena, court order, or equivalent), or a credible, imminent threat to someone's safety.

3. 3.

   We may not have anything left to disclose.

   Every conversation is deleted on a schedule — not just marked inactive, actually removed. A short 14-day window after a conversation expires exists specifically so a legitimate request arriving shortly afterward can still be honored. After that, even that minimal record is gone.

4. 4.

   Nothing happens off the record.

   Any action taken under this policy is logged the same way every other administrative action is.
